Next Generation: Profiles

For three years, Peter and Anne Bargen translated, edited and compiled 100 copies of From Russia With Tears. Brothers and sisters, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews received the book. Responses and reactions were widespread as news of the letters traveled. It was not only the elderly who shared this history, but also the younger generations who were fascinated with the self-published “Red Book.”

Their interactions with the letters and reflections on the content carry the story into the next age – a place where global communication ensures that the silence will be broken. The voices of the letter writers will live on; the world will remember.

The following pages provide profiles of the younger generations who have read the letters and have been affected by the stories they present.
